Knights of Columbus - Kentucky State
Council
Pro-Life/Family Program
What your Council should do:
The immediate appointment of a "Crusade for Life" Chair Couple to represent your council. The names should be recorded on your Form #365 which should be mailed to the Supreme Council. You should also submit this information as soon as possible to your KC Pro-Life Director.
Make a financial pledge or donation to your State Pro-Life Program. Checks should be made out to "Knights of Columbus Pro-Life" and mailed to Mike Peak, State Pro-Life Director. The address is at the bottom of this page.
Have your Council sponsor at least one major Pro-life activity each Fiscal Year. This activity should be reported to the State Pro-Life Director immediately upon completion. The Council will be involved with the State-wide distribution of the video "Sex has a Price Tag" by Pam Stenzel and other similar projects.
Those Councils completing the three requirements listed above will receive the State Council Pro-Life Award at the State Convention.
Councils are also encouraged to:
Keep aware of the proposed bills and tactics of the pro-abortionists. Council members should be advised, at meetings and through council bulletins, so that they can participate in an effort to return the state or province to a moral and traditional status. Members should be contacted through the Council's telephone committee or possibly through special bulletins on radio and television stations. Members must be kept informed if they are to maintain an active and constant campaign against abortion.
Review the Supreme Council Program Booklet for suggested Pro-Life activities.
Remain closely associated with other Pro-Life groups such as Right to Life.
Subscribe to the "Right to Life News" or other such Pro-Life publications in order to become educated on Pro-Life matters.

Family Life (Family of the Month Program)
As Knights of Columbus, we are interested in the continuing development of strong, vibrant families throughout our society and to further this theme and recognize families of this type, each Council is asked to select a "Family of the Month" during the twelve (12) months of the fraternal year. Each Council that participates in the program in at least 6 of the 12 months will receive a special Family Award at the State Convention. The proper forms must be completed and sent to Supreme Council on a monthly basis. This booklet with the forms will be given to you by your Council Program Director.
Remember:
To qualify for the State Deputy's Award you must participate in the "Family of the Month Contest" by sending in at least 6 of the monthly reports, July through March (July's report being mailed in before August 10th.)
