Fraternal Year 2004-2005 Report

Father Kehoe Council 1764

Brother Tim Lenihan, as Grand Knight, has revitalized this stalwart council. They continue to be the back bone of Northern Kentucky as the host of regional events such as 2nd & 3rd degrees, 4th degree exemplification, annual “Priest Appreciation” dinner, and any other function to support the good of the order. They are on track to winning their 2nd consecutive Star council award. Brother Wayne Brown, Deputy Grand Knight, is the catalyst of the council’s major fund raiser. Members staff a concession stand at Great American Ball Park for home games of the Cincinnati Reds. Their professionalism and dedication is apparent as they are also responsible for volunteer vender training. Thanks for your support and keep up the good work.

Father Bealer Council 3908

With Tom Wainscot at the helm as Grand Knight, this council has provided support to the 4 parishes in their area. Members are active in various ministries, critical to meeting the spiritual needs of the parishioners. Their monthly fish fries, Octoberfest, and numerous other activities benefit the local community. The children eagerly await the annual Easter Egg hunt at St. Barbara Parish. This year marked the council’s 50th anniversary. Their members have been busy with a major “self-help” addition to the council hall. Thanks for your support.

Bishop Ackerman Council 5453

Under the leadership of Keith Cahill, this council continues to excel. For the 6th consecutive year they have exceeded both membership and insurance goals and are on track for a 5th straight Star council award. They have expanded their good works outside their Northern Kentucky home to the needy of Appalachia through the adoption of a small Catholic mission, The Church of the Good Shepherd. Members collect and deliver food, clothing, and furniture items on a regular basis. The food items keep the pantry stocked, while the other items are sold in the thrift shop. Sales from the thrift shop fund employee salaries and social relief fund. At Christmas, over 100 hams were delivered, in addition to normal food items. The council awarded it's 2nd annual 4 year scholarship to the St. Henry High School, funded by the sale of “Holy” Doughnuts at local fairs. Bishop Ackerman Council is setting the standard. Keep up the good work
